“From prisoner to purpose, the old me was never wasted.
For grace made beauty from the broken, and her journey begins”.

"IN EVERY DESERT OF CALAMITY, THERE IS AN OASIS OF COMFORT."
We live here. We know here. We grow here.
Desert oases are vital sanctuaries within arid environments, sustaining life where resources are scarce. In a similar vein, Desert Oasis Reentry and Wraparound Program serves as a refuge for individuals navigating recovery, reentry, and housing insecurity in rural communities like Luna County, New Mexico.
Just as natural oases foster diverse ecosystems and promote equilibrium, our program provides safe housing, peer support, and opportunities for personal development, empowering individuals to regain stability and thrive. We cultivate an environment that encourages healing, growth, and independence, even in the face of significant challenges. Desert Oasis will stand as a beacon of hope, offering a pathway to a brighter future.

Development
Workforce & Life Skills
Employment readiness, financial literacy, and life skills training form a comprehensive empowerment model aimed at transitioning individuals—particularly those facing homelessness, poverty, or underemployment—from crisis to long-term stability and independence. This multifaceted approach integrates practical job skills with personal finance education and essential daily living habits, fostering confidence, self-sufficiency, and economic mobility.
Purpose
Transitional living
Transitional living is a structured, temporary residential setting designed to help individuals move from crisis situations—such as addiction treatment, incarceration, or homelessness—toward independent, stable living. Programs typically offer housing, case management, and support services for 3 to 24 months, allowing residents to build skills, secure employment, and establish long-term housing
Empowerment
Recovery & Peer Support
Recovery is a personalized, ongoing process of change through which individuals improve their health, wellness, and quality of life while overcoming mental health or substance use conditions. Peer support is non-clinical, strengths-based assistance provided by people with similar lived experience, helping others navigate recovery, healing, build community, and reduce stigma.

INTAKE & STABILIZATION
Intake and stabilization refer to the initial, rapid-response phase in crisis care (mental health or residential) where an individual is assessed (intake) and treated to reduce acute symptoms, ensuring safety and equilibrium (stabilization). These processes, often lasting a few hours to several days in 24/7 units, serve as a bridge to further treatment
