We pride ourselves on being transparent with our finances and programming. We are committed to clearly explaining our services, program expectations, resident financial responsibilities, and how resources support our mission. We welcome questions, value feedback, and hold ourselves accountable to the people and communities we serve.

Guided by the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) standards and ethical principles, and as part of the emerging affiliate program in New Mexico, the New Mexico Coalition of Recovery Residences (NMCRR), we commit to:

• Safety and dignity: Provide a safe, welcoming, recovery-supportive home where each person is treated with respect.

• Resident rights: Protect privacy, explain rights and responsibilities, and provide a clear process for raising concerns without retaliation.

• Financial honesty: Clearly communicate fees and financial agreements before enrollment and maintain accurate financial records.

• Individual recovery paths: Respect each person’s recovery journey and support connections to appropriate treatment and community resources.

• Peer support and belonging: Build a community grounded in lived experience, shared responsibility, and mutual encouragement.

• Accountability and growth: Use resident feedback and program outcomes to improve our services and practice responsible stewardship.

Mission Statement

Desert O.A.S.I.S. provides comprehensive, trauma-informed support and a recovery residence for adults in recovery and justice-involved individuals in rural communities.

We bridge the gap between treatment and independent living through peer support, individualized treatment plans, vocational and educational resources, personal and professional growth opportunities, and job placement assistance. Our services promote opportunity, accountability, support, independence, and stability.

We pride ourselves on leadership development through a mentorship chain model, where individuals build confidence, share their experience, and support the next person on their journey.

Vision Statement

To create a supportive, sustainable community where individuals in recovery and those impacted by the justice system can rebuild their lives with dignity, achieve lasting independence, and thrive in their home communities. Through a pay-it-forward mentorship chain, each person uplifts the next, strengthening a continuous circle of growth, recovery, and community support.
